Tesoro Resources (ASX: TSO) adds a « significant scale » to Ternera as drilling continues around the clock on the priority target within its flagship El Zorro gold project in Chile.
The company has received more tests from step-out drilling at Ternera intercepting other broad zones of mineralization.
Assays reported by Tesoro for the last six holes correlate with visible gold identified in the drill core.
Gold mineralization at Ternera has now been confirmed over 700m by 800m – extending from surface to over 350m deep.
The highlight results of the last test batch were 98 m at 0. 95 grams per ton of gold from 249 m, including 1 m from 27. 6 g / t; 79. 3m at 0. 72 g / t gold from 7. 7m, of which 2m at 7. 89 g / t; and 221. 2m at 0. 62 g / t gold from 20 m, including 74 m at 1st. 05 g / t.
Teseff CEO Zeff Reeves said the latest batch of tests increases Ternera’s potential to host a « large » gold deposit.
« Holes 51 and 57 are significant as they opened new, broad zones of gold to the northeast and southeast of Ternera, which significantly expand the extent of the deposit. ”
“Both zones are open in all directions and we have now drilled a number of exit holes to further extend the mineralized footprint. ”
In this latest drill program, 47 holes were drilled for 13 in El Zorro. 756 m completed. Tests are still pending for 17 holes.
Just last week, Tesoro revealed « solid » assays from six diamond holes with remarkable results of 104. 4m at 0. 56 g / t from 30 m, of which 37. 8m at 1. 23 g / t from 97 m; and 65 m at 0. 84 g / t from a height of 157 m, including 2. 5m at 15. 92 g / t from 205 m.
Tesoro expects drilling in the Ternera to continue through December. There are currently two diamond drilling rigs in operation around the clock.
