The Iron have won only once this season, and during their travels have failed to secure a victory in their last ten outings, while City have lost only  » one of his last 23 home games

Matt Taylor’s men will, however, be starved of Jonny Maxted, Rory McArdle and Nigel Atangana due to injury, while Pierce Sweeney and Ryan Bowman will have to undergo late fitness tests to see if they have respectively overcome back and stomach injury

Before the game Taylor said: « We have to take the last half hour of Tuesday into the game If we do that it will give us a very good chance of getting a result »

Meanwhile, Iron manager Neil Cox will miss the game after being asked to self-isolate under PHE advice after assistant manager Mark Lillis tested positive for COVID-19

This is the first time the teams have met at St James Park since 2014 when last season’s game fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic, and it kicks off at 1 p.m.
