A 17-year-old boy has died after being found with stab wounds in north-east London, police say

Metropolitan Police said police were called to Westbury Road in Walthamstow at 9 a.m.8 p.m. on Friday

Police said officers were working to establish the identity of the 17-year-old and inform his next of kin

A crime scene is in place and an investigation is underway, but no arrests have been made

A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers were called at 9 a.m. Friday 8 p.m. in Westbury Road, Walthamstow, after a 17-year-old boy was found suffering from a bladed weapon

« He was treated by paramedics at the scene but, despite their best efforts, was pronounced dead

« Officers are working to establish his identity and inform his relatives At this very early stage, there have been no arrests »

He added: « A crime scene is in place and an investigation is underway, led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide)

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called at 9:16 pm last night (23 October) to reports of an injured person in Westbury Road, Walthamstow

“We sent an ambulance team, three medics in rapid response cars and two incident response officers We also sent an advanced trauma team from Air Ambulance London, consisting of a paramedic and a doctor in a car
