Less than five months are left before the start of the European Football Championship 2020, which will take place from 11 June to 11 July 2021. According to the organizing committee of the event, due to the uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, ticket sales are closed.
The organizers explained what to do for those fans who had bought tickets for the matches earlier. You can agree to the newly approved rules or return the ticket.
“UEFA invites you to familiarize yourself with the updates and accept them in your personal account or return the ticket, having received monetary compensation in full. The ticket holder can make a decision until January 26, 16:00 Moscow time, « the Orcommittee noted.
Among the major updates, UEFA has identified several of the most important. So, if the seats in the stadium are reduced or the stands are completely closed, the money will be returned to the fans. In case of illness, including COVID-19, the ticket can be passed on to family members or friends.
Also, spectators are obliged to comply with the sanitary standards adopted at the stadiums where the matches will be held, and the requirements associated with entering any of the host countries of the tournament.
In addition, fans planning to attend matches in St. Petersburg, including citizens and residents of Russia, will have to obtain a Fan ID (FAN ID) to enter the stadium. At the same time, the organizers stressed that the passports issued before October 1 are invalid – a new one must be issued.
Recall that Euro 2020 was supposed to take place last summer, but due to the spread of the coronavirus it was postponed for a year.
Team meetings are to take place in Amsterdam, Bilbao, Budapest, Bucharest, Glasgow, Dublin, Copenhagen, London, Rome, Munich, Petersburg and Baku.
