Province Resources Ltd (ASX: PRL) ticked another important box in order to meet the regulatory milestones required to advance the potential development of its HyEnergy ZERO CARBON HYDROGEN project.
That Company announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Shire of Carnarvon in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia, the planned site of the project.
The MoU will focus on further exploring suitable areas for focus the development of the infrastructure as part of a renewable green hydrogen project and give the province a clear signal that the Shire of Carnarvon is an attractive place to move the project forward.
The province recently signed a binding MoU with Total Eren Negotiated for a feasibility study to potentially add up to an 8 GW renewable power plant and a downstream what hydrogen plant, which confirms the feasibility of the project at a high level.
The MoU announced today could also be seen as confirmation, albeit at the government level rather than by an experienced developer.
Investigate the Province and Shire the viability of 12,311 hectares north of Carnarvon parish for the development and construction of part of the project infrastructure.

The Province will work with the Shire administration to make the Investigate the use of the area for the development and construction of part of the infrastructure for the project hen.
The agreement comes into force on May 1, 2021 and remains in force for a period of six months, with the province having the option of extending the termination date for a further six months or by mutual agreement.
If the area is fit for its intended purpose, it will open the door for the Province and the Shire to form a formal long-term agreement.
This would be another milestone in terms of advancing the approval phases and strengthening the potential positive outcomes from the upcoming feasibility study.
