New Delhi: 2 times in every month- On the day of Ekadashi (Krishna) and Shukla Paksha (Ekadashi), Lord Vishnu is worshiped and fasted. In the same way, Pradosh Vrat is kept on Trayodashi Tithi twice a month, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. On the day Pradosh falls, Shiva is also worshiped along with the worship of the deity or goddess on which the day falls. If on Tuesday, Pradosh fast then worship Lord Shiva with Hanuman ji, on Thursday, Pradosh fast then worship Lord Shiva with Vishnu ji. The Pradosha fast falling on Wednesday is known as Budh Pradosh. Pradosh’s fast will be observed on Wednesday, 24 February on the date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month.

Pradosh Vrat is considered a fasting fast. It is believed that the person keeping this fast gets the same fruit as donating a hundred cows. Also, women keep this fast to make their children healthy and intelligent. On the day of Trayodashi, keeping the fast of Pradosh and worshiping Lord Shiva as well as his whole family in accordance with the law, one gets happiness, prosperity and success. The time 45 minutes before sunset and 45 minutes after sunset is called Pradosh Kaal and the worship of Lord Shiva in Pradosh Kaal (Pradosh Kaal) is considered to be particularly fruitful.

The husband took lotus and went to get water for his wife. When he returned with water, he saw that his wife was talking to a foreigner by drinking water from the lotus, laughing and talking. That alien was exactly like the appearance of this man. Seeing this, the man started fighting with other men in a fit of rage. Gradually a large crowd gathered there. In the meantime a soldier came. The soldier asked the woman, tell me the truth, who is your husband? But the woman kept quiet because both men were similar.

Seeing the wife in the midst of this way, that man in his heart started praying to Lord Shankar that, O God, save me and my wife from this trouble, forgive me for the crime I have committed by leaving my wife on Wednesday. Do it I will not make such a mistake in future. Lord Shankar was moved by the prayer of that man and at that moment he went to another man. The man reached his city safely with his wife. After this, both the husband and wife started doing Pradosh fast.

-If you are keeping Pradosh fast then do not consume food, fast with fruit
-Don’t be unnecessarily angry or angry on this day, keep restraint on speech
-While doing the Puja, use the asana made of grass named Kush.
-Do not consume non-vegetarian food and alcohol on this day
