Night curfew has been imposed till 17 April in Gautam Budh Nagar in view of the increasing cases of Corona, which is spreading fast in the country and the state once again. The time of night curfew will be from ten o’clock in the night to five o’clock in the morning. However, people associated with essential services will remain exempt during this period. Earlier, night curfew has also been imposed in neighboring cities of Delhi and Ghaziabad.
The decision in this regard was taken by District Magistrate Suhas LY in a meeting with senior officials of Health Department, Police and other departments on Thursday. The District Magistrates were instructed to take the decision of Knight Curfew by the rule. The District Magistrate said that in view of the increasing infection of Corona, there will be some strictness in the district and the protocol of Kovid-19 will have to be followed.
A total of 26,697 people have been found infected with the corona virus so far in the district, out of which 25,952 patients have returned to their homes after getting corona free. At the same time, 93 people died due to infection.
After four months in Gautam Budh Nagar, on Wednesday, the highest record 125 patients were confirmed in a single day. Earlier, on December 6, 138 Corona-infected patients were found. At the same time, the health department now has only two days of vaccine left. The number of corona-infected patients has steadily increased since March. There is a possibility of further spread of corona infection in the coming days.
According to the Health Department report, 49 patients recovered from Kovid Hospital and Home Isolation on Wednesday. The number of active patients has increased to 652. The total number of infected patients has reached 26,697. The growth of corona infection can be gauged from the fact that on February 15, the number of active patients in the district was 42, which has now increased 15 times.
Seeing the rise of corona infection, the health department has started treatment facilities in government as well as private hospitals. From next week, patients will be able to undergo treatment in six more new hospitals. Presently, patients are being treated in two government and two private hospitals.
New Kovid Hospitals will also start next week: According to the Health Department report, 93 patients have died while undergoing treatment. The total number of patients recovering has increased to 25952. Dr. Deepak Ohri, Chief Medical Officer said that the investigation and treatment of suspected patients is on priority. Vaccination campaign is also going on. This will soon control the corona infection. The new Kovid hospitals will also start from next week.
