Together 22 organizations of farmers have started a hunger strike in each village on the farm bill and MSP rate. In the first day on Monday, farmers in about 50 villages of the district sat on hunger strike. Every day 5 farmers will go on a hunger strike in the village. Bhandare will be organized in the village one day a week.

Farmers have been on the borders of Delhi for the last three months, demanding the Central Government’s Agricultural Bill, the law to guarantee the purchase of agricultural produce at the minimum support price. The farmers’ movement is going on. To reshape the movement, 22 organizations of farmers have started a campaign to connect every village and every farmer and laborer with the movement from today.

In every village, five farmers and laborers will sit in a public place on a hunger strike every day. After the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, Uttar Pradesh spokesperson Mukul Tyagi said that at 11 am, they will discuss the shortcomings of the agricultural bill and the need for procurement on the MSP and the problems of raising the price of sugarcane and payment etc.

The farmers, who are fasting at 3 o’clock, will send two-two-minute statements including their introduction to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister through social media. Once a week, farmers will collect food grains from the village and store it. Apart from this, the fast will start from 8 am and will go till 5 in the evening. The farmers will not eat anything while on hunger strike.
