In the civic elections held in six cities, 2276 candidates are in the fray for a total of 575 seats, out of which 9 candidates are in the fray for the two-seat by-election in Junagadh metropolis. BJP in 577 seats, Congress in 566 seats, NCP in 91 seats, AAP in 470 seats and other parties in 353 seats and independents in 228 seats are in the fray.

42.21 percent voting was recorded in the elections of six municipal corporations in the midst of Corona epidemic. Home minister Amit Shah also cast his vote with the family.
