MONTREAL – Former Parti Quebecois leader Andre Boisclair was arrested for the second time today and faces new sexual assault charges.
Audrey Roy-Cloutier, a provincial prosecutor’s spokeswoman, confirmed in on social media that Boisclair was questioned by Montreal police.
She said he was charged with sexual assault and he was conditionally and promised to be released on March 1st in Montreal
Indeed, an order prohibits the publication of any information that could identify the alleged victim.
The former politician was arrested last spring and charged with sexual assault involving another person charged with a gun.
In July, he pleaded not guilty to the charges allegedly brought in Montreal on or about January 8, 2014.
