Ebene Magazine - Ex-Carillion bosses are banned as directors for 15 years

Eight former Carillion directors could be banned from the company’s boardrooms for up to 15 years after the government took legal action against them over the collapse of the assembly.

Kwasi Kwarteng, the newly appointed business secretary, initiated disqualification proceedings against Richard Howson, who was Carillion’s managing director from 2012 to July 2017, and Richard Adam, who had been the outsourcer’s longtime finance director, before stepping down at the end of fiscal 2016.

Zafar Khan, who served until Adam briefly succeeded Mr Adam on September 30, 2017, and Philip Green, who was chairman from 2014 until Carillion’s collapse in January 2018, are also part of the group, which could be banned for two to fifteen years.
