Draymond Green was assessed a flagrant foul early in the Warriors’ rematch vs. the Charlotte Hornets on Friday at Chase Center. As Hornets P.J. Washington cut to the basket, Green emphatically made sure he wasn’t going to give up an and-1 play, but struck Washington on the head while doing so.

The play of course comes just six days after Green’s infamous double technical and ejection when facing the Hornets last Saturday in Charlotte. Green’s actions inevitably led to Terry Rozier’s buzzer-beating jumper that would hand the Warriors a shocking 102-100 loss.

Green took full responsibility for his actions following the loss, and dubbed Friday’s contest a « revenge game. »

Fragrant fouls are obviously not uncommon in the league, or to Green’s playing style, but given Green’s recent history against Charlotte, he will need to proceed with caution for the remainder of the game.

MIAMI (AP) The Miami Heat don’t believe in statement wins. Jimmy Butler scored a season-high 33 points, reserve Goran Dragic tied his season-best with 26 and the Heat beat Utah 124-116 on Friday night – handing the NBA-leading Jazz (26-7) just their third loss in their last 25 games. Bam Adebayo scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Miami, which has won a season-best five straight games.

Oladipo scored 27 points and shot over 40% from the field for the first time this month, but Houston still lost its 10th straight game.

Caster Semenya continues to fight a ruling that would require her to take hormone-suppressing medication to compete.

Everybody wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys. So it is no surprise Russell Wilson’s unhappiness with the Seattle Seahawks comes with a caveat.

French Open champion Iga Swiatek is into the Adelaide International final against second-seeded Belinda Bencic after a win over Jil Teichmann.

David West responds to why the Warriors weren’t able to complete a perfect postseason run in 2017.

Dennis Smith Jr. had his best game in a Detroit Pistons uniform in a 110-107 loss to Sacramento, finishing with 17 points and six assists.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) The Los Angeles Clippers’ poor shooting from a night earlier improved to gain a split in a two-game set with the Memphis Grizzlies. Kawhi Leonard scored 30 points, Lou Williams added 17 and the Clippers beat the Memphis 119-99 on Friday night to split a two-game series. Terance Mann, Nicolas Batum and Paul George each had 13 points for the Clippers, 122-94 losers on Thursday night.

After finishing up a two-year suspension as a result of testing positive for EPO, former UFC bantamweight champion and flyweight title challenger TJ Dillashaw is set to make his return to the octagon in the near future. Dillashaw spoke with former UFC fighter Mike Swick on his podcast on what could be next for the former 135-pound champion. “There’s been some talks right, but nothing can be announced yet,” Dillashaw said. “I’m in a good situation. I think everyone in the top five has called me out.” Dillashaw knows after a two-year suspension and a legacy to cement, he doesn’t have much time to waste. “I wanna come back and fight the best. I’m 35 years old now,” Dillashaw said. “I wanna come back and prove I’m the best bantamweight of all time.” Whether it be an immediate title shot or a title eliminator, DIllashaw says he’s open to either of them. But a smart man knows if the opportunity is made available to Dillashaw, he’s going to take the title shot any day of the week. “I’m ready to go straight for the belt,” Dillashaw said. “I know that [Petr] Yan wants it. He’s already been vocally talking about it. We’ll see what happens on March 6 when he fights [Aljamain] Sterling.” Dillashaw isn’t simply expecting that Yan, the current UFC bantamweight champion, is simply going to slide by in his first title defense against No. 1 ranked Sterling at UFC 259. “[Yan]’s got a tough test ahead of him,” Dillashaw said in reference to Sterling. Dillashaw then focused his sights on a potential championship bout between him and Yan. “That’s the fight he wants,” Dillashaw said. “I didn’t leave this sport by losing my belt. He knows that there’s a lot of speculation if he’s the real champ because he hasn’t beaten the real champion to get that belt.” As a recognizable name in mixed martial arts and potentially possessing the most impressive bantamweight resume in the UFC, many top contenders in the division are calling out Dillashaw. But according to him, Dillashaw is taking all comers. “Every person that’s called me out, I’ve said yes to to the UFC,” Dillashaw said. “As long as it’s someone that’s at the top of their game because I”m gonna climb up and get that belt back fast.” TRENDING > UFC Vegas 19 recap: Curtis Blaydes vs. Derrick Lewis Remember when Dana White said that TJ Dillashaw might just be the best bantamweight ever?
