New Delhi: The Allahabad High Court has directed the Uttar Pradesh government to impose lockdown in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur and Gorakhpur by 26 April. During this time, banks, medical-health services, public transport, essential services will continue to operate.
Allahabad High Court has ordered complete lockdown till April 26 in the five most corona affected cities of the state. Apart from this, the state government has also been asked to consider a 15-day lockdown in the entire state. The lockdown will be effective from tonight.

All hawkers, including fruit and vegetable vendors, milk vendors, can remain on the road at 11 am every day until April 26.
Containment zones will be notified every day in two major Hindi and English newspapers with wide spread coverage in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar / Dehat and Gorakhpur districts.
