Well-known Indo-Canadian-American author and Christian teacher Ravi Zacharias died of cancer Tuesday. He was 74. Zacharias was diagnosed with a rare kind of cancer, Sarcoma, that affects the bone and the softer tissues of the body. He took chemotherapy treatment at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, after diagnosis.
Zacharias, who got his Master of Divinity from the Trinity International University, was born on March 26, 1946, in Madras (Chennai) as Frederick Antony Ravi Kumar Zacharias. Zacharias had spent over 48 years of his life teaching Christianity and has authored over 30 books that include the best-seller Can Man Live Without God?. Among his other works based on Christianity, A Shattered Visage: The Real Face of Atheism, Deliver Us From Evil, The Lotus and the Cross: Jesus Talks with Buddha, The Lamb and the Führer: Jesus Talks with Hitler, Why Suffering?
